Our cabin is in Pioneer, California, in the Sierra foothills.
What is the minimum stay?
We require a minimum stay of two nights.
Does it snow at the cabin?
At approximately 4,000 feet in elevation, the cabin can receive snow, but snowfall is not guaranteed. Check the forecast and road conditions before your trip. Guests should plan for winter driving and carry required traction equipment.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not allowed.
What is the cancellation policy for direct bookings?
Payments are generally nonrefundable. Ordinary winter weather, forecasts and chain requirements do not qualify for a refund. If an official road closure prevents access to the cabin, an evacuation order affects the property, or the cabin becomes unusable, we will offer a refund for the affected unused nights or the option to reschedule, subject to availability. Contact us promptly so we can review the disruption and confirm the arrangements in writing.
Personal emergencies are reviewed individually. A future-stay credit may be offered at our discretion; a refund or credit is not guaranteed. Reservations made through Airbnb or another booking platform are subject to that platform’s applicable policies.
Should I purchase travel insurance?
We recommend considering optional trip cancellation and interruption insurance when you book. Purchase coverage directly from an insurer and check the policy’s covered reasons, exclusions and purchase deadlines, including coverage for driving-related road closures. Insurance does not guarantee reimbursement for every weather event or cancellation.
